How do you write Poetry

Comment on this

There are many different views and ideas on how poetry should be written and it can depend on a lot of different factors. The vast majority of my writing results from unexpected inspiration, day to day, and I usually begin a piece without any particular strategy or forethought about how it should look in the end. In essence, I simply write as I feel and, to begin with, that would be what I recommend anyone else to do. It doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t review and revise what you write and attempt later to turn it in to something better than it was when first written, but don’t be scared to just sit down and write – and don’t ever think that you have to conform to this or that idea or style. You don’t. I hope that inspires you to get writing…..
